Leg Veins

Leg veins before sclerotherapy treatment

Prominent unsightly leg veins are a very common problem. Causes include prolonged standing, pregnancy, obesity, hormones and heredity.

Leg veins are divided into varicose veins, reticular veins and thread veins. Varicose veins are treated surgically. Thread veins can be treated by IPL and the more purple coloured veins can be treated by sclerotherapy. Sclerotherapy is the injection of medication which collapses the vein. The vein then dissolves.
